Updates

Hi all, wow, haven't updated in a while. Well, I have been busy making t-shirts and also I have been doing so much drawing and sketching. I'll post those real soon. I didnt get to go to First Fridays this month. They had some sort of mix up and double booked my spot. So when I got there someone else was in my spot. So they were going to stick me in the back of everything so I said no way, so I'll be there next month, with two months worth of paintings, drawings, t-shirts, and spray paint stencils!

Here's another important update, I will have my own honest to goodness web site! I can't wait, it'll be sweet and I will feel so much more legit!

New Painting Progress

Here is a painting I've been working on. I covered up an old stencil of a car to make this painting, so lurking underneath that space helmet is a 1990 honda civic lol

First Fridays Re-cap

August 7th First Fridays went very well! I had a lot of visitors and interest in my work. Nothing makes me happier! I love when someone walks away from my table happy they got something they wanted. Every FF I get a lot of repeat visitors and also a lot of new ones so it's always so much fun. Next time I will have way more stuff, I've been making t-shirts a lot in the month of July so I didnt have a whole lot of time to make new paintings. But I am going to be having a lot more paintings, drawings, stencils, and some new t-shirt designs of my own to show! Check out my next post for a painting I've been working on. Again, thanks to all who stopped by my table! And Weston, if you're reading this, I'd like that picture of me standing at my table, it would be so great to post up here!

Actually that view was behind my table, not the front lol

First Friday People

I just went to my second first friday and it was pretty awesome. There are a ton of people there and I had a lot of visitors at my table. I loved talking with everyone and I like it when people are excited about the things that I had on display and would tell me stories about their own thoughts on UFO's and Klaus Kinski. Here are a few people that stood out at the July 3rd First Friday that I would like to give a shout out to. I didn't catch everyone's name but here goes:

CJ
Weston!!
Jared, where we found out we were at the same shows, including Dystopia in the Nile basement like ten years ago.
All the little kids who liked my Pokemon painting!
The UFO people!
The Klaus Kinski enthusiasts. Even though you told me the end of Fitzcarraldo I dont hold it against you.

I hope to see all of you again for the next one!

Here was the view of the sunset from my table:

My DS in Nerf armor

Here's some sketches for a UFO series I am doing. These are some main people involved with UFO lore. Bob Lazar, Billy Mier, and Maj. Donald Keyhoe. I am going to turn these sketches into full fledged oil portraits. But I like them as sketches too.

Here's a comic collage I did recently as well. It was fun. I love comics.

So I've been experimenting with making shirts recently. Here are a couple tests I did yesterday. Keep in mind these are only tests just to see what goes with what. Once I get more confident and get more supplies i.e. photo emulsion I'll be making some rad ones...

Third attempt

Fourth attempt.

The first attempt was so comically bad I wont post it.

So I broke my drawing hand and just got surgery on it today. I got three pins put in to make sure the bone sets straight. I have to have this splint on for 4-6 weeks so that sucks. I'll post pics of the hand and x-rays soon.
